My LiGhT DiNnER ExPeRieNcE
Finally arrived after 9 hours of flight and bus ride...I am extremely hungry and exhuasted. Check-in one of the hostel and started to walk around the estate to look for local food. The locals are very friendly and suggested to me to try their famous foul bean curd (臭豆腐) at Lim's family (林家) and also Mee Tai Ba (米台目) at Lao Dong Tai (老東台). The stores are just next to each other and nearby to hostel.
When I arrived the Lao Dong Tai (老東台), the quene is super long and there is no seat available. Pretty sad....so i decided to walk to Lim's family (林家) and try their foul bean curd (臭豆腐). Of course, the foul smell is extremely horrible! Prestastion is also not attractive. But when I tasted it...I have fallen in love with it! Taste so different when I had it Taichung. The sauce is light (neither salty nor sweet). Not only that, it comes with some mint leaves, carrot slices and crunchy cabbage. So refreshing. Freshly deep fried bean curd_crunchy on the outside and soft filling. My saliva cannot stop drooling!!! So freaking yummy. Mdm Lim also added some watery chilli to spice it up! Small plate cost around SGD 2.20 / large plate cost around SGD 4.30. It goes well with osmanthus green tea. Burp...there goes my light dinner for today.
