I felt so fortunate that I could attend the fifth Flowers Autumn Photography gift presentation even though it was a short period. Thanks Arthur for giving me this opportunity. Finally managed to locate the book store (as I had tried to locate myself during my ride but always failed)! I am really a road nerd..LOL (╯3╰)

Made some news pals in this photography session. Beside that, found some good books in the store. I was so temping to purchase the books...After second thought, I decided not! Worried backpack would be overloaded... Well will go again to read at the store whenever I am free (a❤‿❤a) 
There are some second hand books and new ones too! Not only that, sofa and chairs provided at some corners, whereas you can read the books and enjoy! 
If you want to find some good books, regardless art, health care, innovations, cook books, travel etc...

** Liitle background of this _Old Books Store
The boss shifted his house to Hualien and started to work as a volunteer in Resources and Collection (資源回收場當義工)
Whenever he found the books that he loved, he would bring back home and read.
Since after that, he had collected alot of books and he decided to open the first second bookshop in Hualien.
Previously was located along Jie Yue Street No. 8 (節約街 8 號). 
Due to landlord re-renovate the building, now this bookshop has relocated at Guang Fu Street No. 57 (光復街 57號)

At Flower Palace_Uma Leather Crafting Workshop

Roaming around Golden Triangle Shopping District....trying to recognise the street names and shop houses. 
Manage to find a unique shop along Zi You Street No. 63 (自由街 63號) ....Uma Leather Crafting Workshop
A small little store along the inconspicuous road...Walked in and saw a young lady doing some craft. I approached her and found out that she was making some leather wallet...with pictures.Out of curiosity, I asked the lady what these pictures represent. To my surprise, all the lines on the Uma (one of the tribal) represent their skills and empowerment. If without these drawing (on their faces), will not get marry. So fascinating! 
Had taken some shot at the workshop. If you happen to in Hualien, you can visit this little workshop can get some unique souvenir.
** All the designs are done by the teacher and all are handmade by the student. ツ

At Flower Palace_A peaceful morning ride around Ji-an village_towards Carp Lake

Woke up early, around 5plus and get ready for my first morning ride.
Riding alone on the unfamiliar street...smelt of the moring dews and felt the cool fresh air against my pores! 
Feeling abit cold however the uncles and aunties that I met had given me their warm greetings and lovely smile. Their actions had affectionated my heart and we began to chat ...The conversations had made me felt that I am part of the locals... Cheers (a◕‿◕a)
Lovely sunrise, cosy morning dews, warm and friendly locals! Beside that, smell of the soil, birds chipping and cool fresh air had made my ride very fascinating (●*∩_∩*●)

Took some shots during my ride however, I felt abit regret as I couldn't make to Carp Lake....will try again next round (╥_╥)

At Flower Palace_Pine Garden (松园别馆)

Today was my off day! 
Looking forward to my second time bike trip, however the weather changed suddenly...Rainy with cooling winds_temperature 22c.
Making me so Indolent. Fortunately, Bro Auther and Theresa giving me a free ride to town area. So sweet (●*∩_∩*●)
Drove me around the "golden triangle districts" and bought me pancake to try it. Fillings_ Garlic Chives (known as jiu cai)! So yummy! My saliva dripping out... ツ

Alighted at Pine Garden and walked around in the museum, looking at the masterpiece done by the female students. All of the furniture was so unique. Wish I can have half of their talents ㋡

As today was a rainy day, not much of outdoor shot taken (╥_╥) Just share with you the Pine Garden Museum masterpiece! Please feel free to comment yeah (╯3╰)

First day at work, always slow in speed and super blur. Cannot finish on time. But Theresa kept on "chasing" me to put down and enjoy.

4th Destination…..Heading to "Flower" Palace

After some rest, heading to “Flower” Palace to begin my working holiday! My first exposure (≧◡≦)


During my train ride, instead of sticking my butt on the train seat, I sneaked out as I was completely attracted by the stunning landscape. I had managed to take some shots as the train was moving pretty fast  ψ(｀∇´)ψ

A place that I never regret of heading to .......

Memories are sweet and sad...


Met alot of people and make friends...local, Spain, Holland.....even Singaporean! Unbelievable (●*∩_∩*●)
Not only that, experienced my first minor earthquake here. Even though less than 1 minute, but the feeling was like...WTH 


Sitting at Family Mart ....reading novel and had a cup of latte ...enjoy the windy sea breeze and smell of the ocean! 
With mimi accompanied .....on my lap (at least an hour) Without any disturbance, life has never been so relax and enjoyable. 

Alone, riding around the whole island and enjoy the natural! Visited the sightseeing and feeling the chill seawater splashing on my barefoot! 
Getting close with goats, deers, crabs and crystal clear blue pacific ocean! 


Population around 10,000 in this island ....lead a simple and peaceful life.
A door that always never lock, motorbike and bicycle that has never been stolen. Everyone knowing one another living in harmony. 
Friendly greetings everyday in the morning without fail! Not only that, inviting friends for some drinks!
This is a place where everyone trust one another....


I would recommend friends to come over and enjoy the peaceful and harmony life here. Warm and friendly locals, beautiful sunset and awesome local food that will never forget.

Had been here for 10 days...now without bicycle, uable to travel further! o(≧o≦)o 
Today weather extermely hot and sun rays very strong. Walking under the sun, felt the rays irradiated into my pores..burning from inside! Argh so hot! I was almost burnt out! Finally find another nice cafe...sitting at a corner. Having bread and coffee for teabreak. Chatting with the friendly boss...sharing with me his life experiences...WOW

Few hours later, time to catch the beautiful sunset! This was my first time enjoying the beautiful sunset in this island. It always rainning and cloudy the past 10 days. Never wanna miss this moment! 

One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things!

Last Mountain Ride!

Had been staying for 1 week...and bicycle rental due date. Decided to make my last full round before returning. Woke up early but the weather seems not really good! Raining cats and dogs...argh I hate it! ಠ_ಠ

Sat at a cafe and had breakfast! Praying the rain will stop but not! Heading back to the hostel and rest. Standing at the balcony ...staring at the empty street! I like rainy weather ...so cosy but I need to go for my last ride in this island! Waiting patiencely ....and finally the rain had stopped. Thank god! 


Yeshhhhh! Began to cycle ... smell of dews were pretty strong! Slowly I rode to the Human Rights Memorial Monument..Took some shots and rode around the place...pretty cool and I decided to went into the museum to walk around. The staff was so friendly and explaning the details. I went to the theatre for the show. After the show, I walked around the estate and rode around the island_20km. Butt really painful but enjoyable. Make new friends and sharing experiences! Keeping in touch with one another! So AWESOME! (a❤‿❤a) 
Never regret heading to an unknown island myself.....great exposure! 

There are no foreign lands. It is the traveller only who is foreign.

Mountain Ride Trip

Weather seems to be good even though no sign of the sun...
Get my gear ready and heading out for the mountain ride. Tide was pretty low. So I parked my bike and walked towards to the sea. The strong waves splashing on my barefoot. It was so cold but refreshing. Accompanied by the sea breeze and smell of the ocean! Love this feeling... ♪♫•*¨*•.¸¸❤¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪ •.¸¸.•´¯`•.♥.•´¯`•.¸¸.•.

Got to know Allen while I was doing some shots at the shore. We began to chat and sharing trip experiences. He, alone cycling the easten! Bravo... envy ✖‿✖ After some chat, he headed back to the Nan liao harbor to catch his ferry ...to carry on his route..wishing him good luck! ❀◕‿◕❀

Small raindops falling....
Sitting in a small restaurant, having a glass of "Around the world" and enjoy the cold breeze pouring against my pores! 

Listening to oldies and looking at people riding under the little droplets. Listen to the motor sound....seems to fall in love with this simple life. 

Hiding at a corner  ....enjoy the restless afternoon and surfing internet...planning my next route. Kinda of funny thoughts in minds! Thinking how everyone doing in hometown. Hope everyone is well! ✿◕‿◕✿

AdVeNtuRoUs

Weather was pretty cooling..,small raindrops and windly morning.
Had toasted bread and warm soya milk for breakfast...Waiting for cabby "uncle" to give me a ride to the Fu Gang harbor...Along the way, I saw some arigculture farm, of course will ask the driver. Driver told me is either rice or "Ping Lang" As the weather here is much more cooling so it is suitable to grow these.
As I was rushing to the harbor, no extra time to stop by and shot...abit of regret for not sharing!

Arrived at the habor, very crowded and alot of youngsters..All heading to this "Devil Island". I approached the counter for help and managed to contact the host. Seems the host is too busy and forget to make arrangement. I foot my own ferry ticket to the island. 1-way ticket cost around SGD 20.

Unloaded my heavy backpack and walked to the end of the ferry to catch the scenery. During the journey, one of the uncle caught my attention and we began to chat. He introduced me "Devil Island" and their life there. Simple and easy life style.... Out of sudden, uncle shouted extremely out...think till his top of this voice!. Dolphin!!! I saw them! jumping up and down happily from the "black sea"! Their speed was extremely fast and I couldn't even manage to catch a few shots! Arghhh... Uncle told me if you are lucky, sometimes can even see the whale splashing water out! OMG! This is the natual that I have never encounter!

Arrived at the harbor, the host not showing up ....kinda of lost to me. Forturnately an aunite (around her mid 50) approached me and offer me help. Doubtful and fear? But my guts told me just follow and look around. Auntie drove me to her apartment. Aunite owns a hostel and offer a good rate (SDG 22/night) to stay at her place. And my room is facing the ocean view and very cooling. I took this deal and stayed over. Aunite drove me around the nearby estate and telling me place to get cheap stuff.Beside that, she drove me back to the harbor to pick up tourist. Great exposure! After meeting up to 2 french ladies and heading back to the hostel. I gave them maps translate to them the places of interest (since aunite not good in english).

After some introduction, I started to walk around the estate to explore myself. Exhuasted but managed to see some parts of nice scenery. Feel free to commend. Thank you.
