生命不是一場賽跑﹑而是一次旅行

LIFE IS NOT A RACE, BUT A JOURNEY

比賽在乎終點﹑而旅行在乎沿途美好的記憶

GAMES CARES ABOUT THE END POINT WHILE THE TRAVEL CARES ABOUT THE BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES

歲月帶不走記憶,只會讓我更加想念

TIME WILL NOT FADE THE MEMORY, IT WILL ONLY MAKE ME MISS IT EVEN MORE

人不會因為獲得許多愛而覺得人生充滿快樂﹐卻會因為付出許多愛而感受到人生的快樂

PEOPLE DO NOT FEEL THAT THEIR LIVES ARE FULL OF JOY EVEN HAVE MANY LOVES, BUT WILL FEEL THE HAPPINESS OF LIFE OF MANY LOVES

回憶永遠站在背後﹐你無法拋棄只能擁抱

MEMORIES ALWAYS STANDING BEHIND, CAN'T ABANDON BUT ONLY EMBRACE

First time taking night shots

My first digital camera..Canon S90
Getting so many information and advice from friends...finally decided to get my first digital camera Canon S90. I decided to try out the night shots at iLight Marina Bay.

After dinner, we walked from Raffles Place and walk through the crowd. So many professional photographers shooting....only 1 mission. To get the best shot! Finding the right feeling, right spot, right angles, right ISO, right aperture...really make alot of different.
I had learnt alot ...while shooting. Really great experience !

Moving to a new shelter

Finally managed to find a better place for these innocent furry friends!

We decided to shift back to the old place ...instead of staying in the durain plantation. The place was pretty wear out. The fixtures and fittings were not working conditions. Fortunately, we had volunteers here to help up. **Clap clap** ٩(-̮̮̃-̃)۶

Very exhausted but I had spent an meaningful day with them. Thanks gals and guys giving me this opportunity to lend a helping hands. I had gained alot from you!!!

Innocent Furry Friends

Finally! I always looking forward weekend to arrive! Going to see furry friends.

Getting all the things ready and had our brunch. At the shelter, we fed furry friends and cleared their poos. After that we checked on the puppies and applied medicine on those injured doggies.
Today I had taken some cute puppies and hope that we could find great animal lover and keep them.

Vaccination Day

Today was vaccination day!

Volunteers heading to the shelter early for preparation. Before heading to the shelter, we stopped at a shop and bought canvas. Getting ready for monsoon. On the way to the shelter, the car brokedown. Fortunately, we managed to find some people for help. But still need to send the car to the nearby workshop for servicing. While waiting, we managed to find Freeman Tan for a lift to the shelter. Thanks Freeman Tan!

At shelter, furry friends so happy to see us around. Wagging their tails and jumping around. Their welcoming had melt my heart and brushed away my sadness away. I always feel happy to see them. After the hugging and welcoming, we segregated the doggies and puppies. Waiting for vaccination. In the midst of vaccination, Dr Tan advised and explained how we can improved the environment for these furry friends. Keep them safe and sound. Thanks Dr Tan.

After the vaccination, we trying to fix up the canvas. omg! No guys around to help. Discussion, measurement..blah blah and trying hard to figure out. While fixing up the canvas, the puppies roaming around and "supervising" us. Fortunately our hard work had not gone down to the drain. Furry friends will have a dry and safe HOME! Hip hip hurray!

Nap Time! ** Yawn Yawn Ywan **
After we had finished fixing up the canvas, we let furry friends in and sleep.
Furry friends sleeping soundly and I am glad that they are not straying on street with no one caring for them.

Due to space limited, some furry friends slept outside ... peacefully on the cool day

Not every person knows how to love a dog but every dog knows how to love a person.
All they just want a safe place call HOME!
Every dog deserves a home, but how many strays can find one? Right now you have a chance to provide HOME for 150dogs. Grab it ! It will be worth it to know that just S$50 a month, a stray has a place to call HOME...

Mutiara Rini Dog Shelter Cleanup day!

Knowing the weather is good, we decided to bathe our furry friends. Wash wash wash, scrub scrub scrub!
This time we have guys helping up...
We decided to share and assigned workload so that we could clean and bathe as many dogs as we can.

First time washing and cleaning up so many furry friends...omg! Chasing after them, coaxing them and carry them. Really a great experience that I had gained.
Unfortunately, not every of our furry friends enjoy the bathing session. There was one got angry and bitten Ming Siem. He went to nearby clinic after the washing up. Lucky the wound was not infected.

Those were not able to bathe, we decided to apply some powder on them. You might be thinking if we used J & J baby powder_nice smell. Absolutely NO! Baby powder is harmful. If inhaled, it may cause aspiration pneumonia or granuloma. So we decided to use plain flour instead. It is harmless and tasteless even if furry friends lick.

Milk Time for Puppies!
After cleaning up, it was puppies feeding time. A mummy doggy would wait patiently outside the gate. Once we let her in, all the puppies would go after mummy doggy and drink milk! The puppies were so hungry...more milk !

After milk, the puppies would find a good spot and sleep. ** Yawn Yawn **

Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived.

Please move forward and help these Man best friends!

First time to Mutiara Rini Dog Shelter

This is the first time in my life starts to explore a new challenge....be a volunteer to a dog shelter. I did some minors volunteers work in community center (Rotary Club of Singapore) by helping the elderly and taking care of kids. But this is totally different from the past that I did. Feeling so excited and enthusiastic!

Met up the volunteers on a great sunny morning and heading to the shelter. During the journey, Rain kept on telling me not to have high expectation on the shelter and explained the tasks that the volunteers always did.

When I arrived at the shelter, I was ultimately shocked. Around 150 dogs and puppies would run towards you. These furry friends were so happy to see the familiar faces. Wagging their tails and jumping around_waiting for your attention. I was almost freak out at that moment but fortunately the volunteers encouraged me.

These furry friends stayed in a durian plantation, with only a lady. And the living standard was really bad. Without the volunteers and other kind people around, i think she would not manage. Some of the dogs were either sick or injured. All these need extra attention and extra care. This really hectic.

We started to help on feeding the dogs and puppies, clearing their poos, cleaning the puppies and arranging the food.
While helping, the volunteers told me the dogs' names. And understand their behavior. By sharing their experiences, I understand them better_our furry friends!

Due to limited resources and bad environment, some dogs had passed away (Sick). Knowing this is aching but always looking forward a better tomorrow. Hoping more volunteers will give a helping hand. Regardless if you are adult or student, please donate if you can. We need to have funds to keep these innocent furry friends sound and safe. Without your help and care, these furry friends will not have a safe shelter and food everyday.

Short Trip to Malaca

First time going to Melaka (Malacca). I was excited and full of imagination!

After 4 hours of bus ride, we managed to arrive at the Equatorial hotel (around 2pm in the afternoon). Check-in and unload our bags...washed out and decided to walk around the Jonker Street, which is located in the Melaka Chinatown. It is also known as Jonker Walk and Jalan Hang Jebat. It has several of the oldest houses in the country, dating to the era of the 17th century, therefore it is also unofficially called the Antique Street. The thin street is famous among the locals for selling artifacts of different periods; you will certainly find stuff from various times of colonial rule, i.e. the Portuguese, the Dutch, and the British, being sold here.

The artifacts include valuable and one-of-a-kind antique furniture, along with Chinese porcelain pieces, special brass objects and cast-iron beds.  Also of interest are unique lamps, treasurable coins and aged money, as well as Buddha statues of a priceless nature.  Antique freak or not, Jonker Street is a “must visit” for anyone eager to become knowledgeable of Melaka.

Beside that, the evenings of every Friday, Saturday and Sunday (from 6:00 pm to 12:00 midnight) the locals at Jonker street line up along the street to set up and maintain their stalls to display and sell products associated with or reflective of the real cultural artifacts of the place (such as souvenirs, antique copper coins, local ethnic food and traditional dishes, along with unique arts and crafts).

Apart from these special hours when the bazaar is packed with visitors, Jonker Street has another specialty and that is food! The street is also known to dish out some of the best cuisines in the town. There is a good variety of shops and cafes selling a great assortment of food and beverages, like the Geographer Cafe (which is located in the very middle of the street and is especially a favorite among foreign visitors since it has popular live bands on Friday and weekend nights!). There is a great shop, Jonker Dessert, which is located opposite to the Geographer Cafe and is well known for its delicious Baba Nyonya delicacies.
